Position Title: Quality Engineer (QE) – Infrastructure / AWS Verification Focus
Location: Remote (LATAM)
Schedule: 8am – 5pm CST (40 hrs/week, excluding U.S. holidays)
Duration: Full-Time
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly technical Quality Engineer (QE) with a strong focus on infrastructure validation and AWS-based verification. This role will be responsible for validating API responses by executing automated and manual verification processes, including Postman scripting, AWS log analysis, and downstream system validation.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced working within CI/CD environments, ensuring product quality across distributed cloud-native architectures.
Experience working in airline, travel, or other mission-critical distributed system environments. Familiarity with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, observability platforms, and performance validation is highly desirable.This brand new role, created to help the developers.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute API test scenarios using Postman, including scripting and data setup.
- Validate API responses by reviewing and analyzing AWS logs to confirm correct downstream processing.
- Work with AWS services (including Lambda) to verify system behavior and troubleshoot defects.
- Use AWS CLI and/or SDK tools to query infrastructure components and validate workflows.
- Create and maintain test data required for API and integration validation.
- Perform defect identification, planning, tracking, and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to ensure quality validation within CI/CD pipelines.
- Support continuous improvement of testing strategies, automation coverage, and verification processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ Years of experience
- Strong experience with Postman, including scripting and API validation workflows, is a must-have.
- Must have Hands-on experience working with AWS infrastructure, particularly:
- AWS Lambda, AWS logs (e.g., CloudWatch or similar log monitoring tools), AWS CLI or SDK usage
- Experience validating end-to-end API responses and downstream integrations.
- Cloud automation is a must-have
- Ability to build and manage test data for complex validation scenarios.
- Experience working within CI/CD pipelines and automated testing environments.
- Solid understanding of defect lifecycle management and documentation practices.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience in infrastructure-focused quality engineering roles.
