Schedule: 8:00 to 5:30 PM CST, M-F except for USA National Holidays on call rotation 12 hours on-12 hours off

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Python Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in Python development along with a solid understanding of modern deployment practices, tooling (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker). Experience with CI/CD, change management, incident and vulnerability resolution, is highly desirable. Exposure to educational software products is a plus. 

The EHR Tutor product is one of the industry-leading products. It helps students in the medical field understand how to interpret and update electronic medical records. 

We are primarily looking to reduce tech debt and ensure the long term scalability and reliability of the platform. 

Responsabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and the Tornado framework
• Work within the SAFe Agile  framework, using JIRA for backlog management and sprint tracking
• Manage change requests, including creation and management of tickets in ServiceNow, and attending appropriate change reviews
• Develop and deploy using CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability 
• Design and optimize data storage solutions using PostgreSQL and Redis
• Build, deploy, and manage application features and updates using GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Utilize Datadog for monitoring and observability of system performance
• Contribute to front-end integration and updates using the Bootstrap framework
• Investigate and resolve security issues and customer-impacting incidents; this will require being on call during US business hours
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Security, and Infrastructure teams

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in Python full-stack development
• Experience working in an Agile environment and using JIRA
• Solid experience with REST API development, ideally using Tornado or another Python framework.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment
• Proficiency with DevOps tools(Docker, Git, CI tools, etc.)
• Experience with applications using PostgreSQL and Redis for data storage and caching
• Experience working with applications residing on EKS/AWS infrastructure
• Experience working with Offshore teams. 
• Very strong collaboration skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
