The Job:

The work is related to Data Engineering, ETL, and API development, implementation.

We are looking for someone who is familiar with interoperability and point-to-point integration. Understanding of education-based solutions (integration, single sign-on, etc.) is also beneficial. We’re looking for a hands-on developer who can fulfill the responsibilities often assigned to an interface analyst, such as requirements gathering and development of technical specs. That said, the primary skillset is technical, and successful candidates need to be able to develop complex interfaces from beginning to end.

The work encompasses a very broad range of experiences, and it’s a rare individual who’s strong in all areas. The ideal candidate will possess a range of technical knowledge and capabilities, experience dealing with the dynamics of stakeholder and vendor participation in an exchange, strong communication skills.

This is a position working remotely from Mexico.

Required Skills

1. 5+ Years of Advanced Python experience 
2. Serving up APIs (e.g., RESTful) using python
3. Unit testing in python
4. Understanding of different models of concurrency and the trade-offs (multi-process, multi-threading, asynchronous) and some experience with either multi-threading or asynchronous programming
5. Relational databases
6. JSON and XML basics
7. Understanding of underlying concepts such as:  Web services / XML / XSLT

Desired Skills & Experience:

1. Postgres, perhaps with plpgsql
2. Python postgres libraries:  SQL alchemy (core), psycopg2
3. Other python libraries: flask, Cerberus, requests
4. Apache airflow
5. Python async libraries:  asyncio, aiohttp, and asyncpg
6. Some knowledge and experience with healthcare data 
7. Experience with JWT authentication
8. Knowledge about Educational based solutions.
