Position Summary: 

We are looking for a data engineer to join our team. You will use various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems.

To succeed in this data engineering position, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources. Data engineer skills also include familiarity with several programming languages and knowledge of learning machine methods.

Responsibilities: 

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and GCP ‘Big Query’ technologies.
• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into revenue growth opportunities, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
• Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
• Keep our data separated and secure across geographical boundaries through multiple data centers and GCP regions and established best practices.
• Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.

Required Skills & Experience: 

• 2+ Years of relevant professional experience in the start up / Tech industry
• Programming : needs to have hands-on experience in any predominant programming language such as Java, C++ or PYTHON
• Database and SQL : in depth knowledge of DBMS and SQL. Some of the commonly used database management system for Big Data engineering are MySQL, Oracle, Database and Apache HIVE
• Operating System : a strong understanding of Linux and Windows OS Command
• Hadoop tools and frameworks : have experience with APACHE Hadoop based technology like HDFS, MapReduce, Apache Pig, APache HBase adn Apache Spark
• Data Mining and modelling : have experience with data mining, data wrangling and data modelling techniques to preprocess and clean the data using various methods, find unseen trends* and patterns in the data, and make it ready for analysis (optional)

EDUCATION EXPERIENCES

• Bachelor / Master Degree of Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics or other relevant fields.
• Certificaton of Data Analytics / Data Science from professional organizations
